Of the three US ski resorts that do not allow snowboarding, Alta is the only one that operates on United States Forest Service Public Land.
Alta operates under a U.S. Forest Service Special Use Permit which states: “the lands and waters covered by this permit shall remain open to the public for all lawful purposes.”
Join Wasatch Equality in fighting to overturn Alta’s snowboarding ban and allow equal access and use of Alta for skiers and snowboarders.
